I struggled for a bit with what to make this letter. I didn’t foresee, when I started this that I would one day come upon a letter that I knew very little about.
J seems to be that letter and so I’m at a bit of a loss, though I did, once started, realize that the art of Shinju is in fact Japanese Bondage, giving me my J.
Japanese Bondage is interesting in that, unlike other methods, it’s not necessarily used to bind the slave, but instead to remind or even decorate. It normally does not restrict movement and can be worn easily under clothing.
Karada is the rope harness that is put around the body in crisscrossing diamond patterns and used as the base for Shinju, which means simply binding the breasts or chest area.
There are of course much deeper and darker forms of Japanese bondage, those the move from the ornamental into an almost hogtying like area, and can cause not only severe pain but often bleeding or tearing.
The beauty of both kinds of Japanese bondage is that both cause the slave to tighten their own bonds. Struggling in any kind of bondage, be it the ornamental or restricting kind, will result in the rope knots tightening and becoming even more difficult to remove. For anyone who has ever used Japanese clover clamps, or had them used on you, you already know the idea behind this. The clamps have a chain attached that when pulled on tightens their grip.
Japanese bondage works the same way.
I must admit though, I far prefer the ornamental Karada and Shinju to the more restrictive. But then I do like pretty things, you know. *wink*
